Legal
Charges
|
|
So far there is a tariff regime
established through the High Court,
Magistrate's Court rules, and the Law Society
of Zimbabwe by-law regulations. However,
the most pertinent for your information is the
Law Society Tariff which governs the attorney
and client relationship as opposed to party
and party relationship. A copy of the
Law Society Tariff can be made available to
client and the rates of fees applicable to any
one area of the practice can be discussed with
client with a view to reaching a negotiated
fee structure. The Law Society Tariff of
fees is very discretionary and hence we are cognizant
of the fact that there might be a need to set
an agreed rate of fees before hand.
