Metal Fabricators of Zambia Ltd (ZAMEFA) are situated at Luanshya in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.
ZAMEFA are manufacturers of copper rod, bare copper wires, winding wires, low voltage power cables,
overhead aluminium conductors, building wires, flexible cables, telecommunication wire and cable.

ZAMEFA are suppliers to the public and private sectors as well as Government Bodies.
ZAMEFA was founded in 1967 and privatised in 1996, the major shareholder being the Phelps Dodge Wire and Cable Group

The Head Office and Manufacturing-Units are situated at Cha Cha Cha Road, Luanshya,
and occupy a site of 90,000 square metres of which some 11500 square metres are undercover manufacturing and administrative areas.
Iin addition to Luanshya there are sales offices in Lusaka, Zambia and Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa.

RELIABLE SUPPLY
ZAMEFA has a unique processing structure of being able to process copper cathode as an input raw material and produce cable as a finished product. Being situated in the Copperbelt we are guaranteed best Zambian copper cathode supplies for our cable production programmes. This position enables ZAMEFA to take advantage of adjusting its manufacturing programmes at short notice to suit its Customer's requirements,
QUALITY
Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) first certified ZAMEFA to ISO Standard 9002:1994 in 1996, with the second successful assessment made in 1999. ZAMEFA has also been awarded the South African Bureau of Standards Permit to apply their certification mark to its range ofiow voltage power cables and winding wires.
