Zambia Limited is the largest manufacturer of Low Voltage Switchgear,
Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards and Motor Starter Panels in
Zambia. Over the years the company has undertaken large projects in
all the Divisions of former Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) such
as:-
- Tailing Leach Plants Phase 1 &
2 at Nchanga Division in 1972
- Baluba Concentrator Luanshya
Division in 1972 / 73
- Cobalt Plant Chambeshi Mine
- Cobalt Plant Nkana Division
- No. 4 Acid Plant Chambeshi

- Roaster Plant Chambeshi Mine
- New Electric Furnace Smelter
Mufulira
- Gas collection and Acid Plant
rehabilitation Nkana Division
Apart from the large projects, the company has
done numerous Motor Control Centres, Motor Starter Panels and Distribution
Boards for all the Division of former ZCCM, Parastatal companies and
Private companies e.g. Chilanga Cement, Ndola Lime, Nakambala Sugar
Estates, Copperbelt Bottling Company, Copperbelt Energy
etc.
In view of the local manufacturing activities over many years, the company
carries large stocks of spares to back up the equipment which is already
in the field.
In June 1999 CH Zambia took over the High voltage
operations of NEI Zambia Ltd, another Rolls Royce PLC Group Company. The
High Voltage section of CH Zambia Ltd distributes Reyrolle Switch
Gear. Power and Distribution Transformers form NEI Transformer Ltd,
Reyrolle industrial products, also undertaken the refurbishing of Reyrolle
Switch Gear, testing, Installation and commissioning, for various Mining Companies
and Zesco. The company stocks Reyrolle Switch spares to support
the large population of Reyrolle Switch Gear in the Industry.
