Over the past 26 years, A B Hayward (1976) Ltd has established itself as one of the leading manufacturing and metal Fabrication Company in Zambia

A B Hayward is a Zambian Registered Company located at plot no. 509 on Cha Cha Cha road, Industrial Area in Luanshya. A B Hayward has a multi-skilled labour force of 42, consisting of Engineers, Business and Financial specialist, Technicians, and Trades men, and ably led by Four Senior Managers.

The Company’s core business is the manufacture and supply of sheet metal products and other steel fabricated products. The Core products being, Galvanised steels ventilation Ductings, and accessories, Heavy-duty mining wheelbarrows, Door and Window Frames, Stope Chute boxes and other associated steel fabricated products.A B Hayward has been a supplier of Ventilation Ductings and accessories and other fabricated products to the mining industry for the past 26 years with its major customers including the newly privatized mines, i.e. Mopani Copper Mines Plc, Metorex and Konkola Copper Mines Plc. Other Clients include, Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC), Oil Marketing Companies such as Caltex and  Mobile. 

In the recent past the Company has had to expand its scope of business to include Trading and Contracting services.

Our workshops have a working area of 2500 square meters and are well equipped with the necessary machinery, equipment and tools to meet customer demands and specifications. While the company has competently kept pace with international technological advancements, some qualities have remained constant for the past 26 years. These are the traditions of perfection, unity, commitment and quality service which have earned A B Hayward its rightful position in the market.

QUALITY POLICY

A B Hayward (1976) Ltd Operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of BS EN 9001:2000. Management and staff at A B HAYWARD are fully committed as a team to a policy of effective Business management. In fulfillment of this policy the Company shall ensure that goods and services are supplied to meet their intended purpose and to give entire satisfaction to the client.

The quality policy is directed towards achieving the following objectives:

To ensure current and potential customers by liaison with them that the implemented quality system shall provide an assurance of competence and reliability.

To ensure the attainment of a level of quality which meets all contractual requirements of the client.

To ensure that orders are processed within the agreed time scale and within any constraints placed upon the company.

SAFETY POLICY

Management considers no area of its operation or administration to be of great importance than loss incidence prevention. The company considers that each manager, supervisor or employee is responsible for safety, health and welfare within their respective area of concern.

A B Hayward was initially established typically as a ventilation ducting and wheelbarrow manufacturing company focusing on the mining industry only. Twenty-five years later, the company has expanded and diversified to offer a wide range of products and services. Among the many other products are the following.
