Port has a combination of separate Container,
General and Bulk Terminals.
The Container
Terminal is privately operated and has a capacity
for 120 000 TEU's per annum.
General Cargo
Terminals can handle 2.5 million, tons. Two other
ports, Tanga and Mtwara with a mixed operation of
general and container traffic are available to all
local traffic.
