Eskom
Test and Demonstration Centres are
designed to present some of the most
cost-effective and efficient
electrotechnologies for industrial
processes. They also cater for commercial
concerns and provide facilities to
demonstrate and test hot water generation,
steam generation, cooking, catering and
laundry, as well as space heating and
cooling applications.
Electrotechnologies
for a multitude of agricultural
applications are also available. For the
domestic user of electricity, the centres
provide information on the safe, wise and
economic use of electricity. Eskom Test
and Demonstration Centres provide the
answer to virtually any energy-related
query the customer might have.
Qualified
personnel will ensure that visitors are
introduced to technologies that best suit
their particular needs and requirements.
Should a technology not be suitable, the
help of Electrotek, Eskom’s research and
development experts, can be called on.
In
addition to the expertise of Electrotek,
staff at the Test and Demonstration
Centres can call on a host of similar
centres in Europe or the USA to provide
assistance. In most cases, extensive
library facilities are also available,
where international research findings,
development studies and successful case
studies can be sourced.
