	The Open Learning Group was founded in 1994 as the College for Open Learning Southern Africa (COLSA), with the primary intent to upgrade the qualifications of teachers. The company identified the need for Distance Education and over the last five years have experienced tremendous growth in assisting working people throughout South Africa and across its borders, in obtaining further qualifications.
