Nestled in the shadows of the famous Thaba Bosiu Mountain, about 25kms from Maseru,
lies the Mmelesi Lodge - a modern hotel built in the traditional Basotho style.
The complex is constructed in sandstone and the roofs masterfully thatched.

The bedrooms lying behind the main building, have been architecturally designed in the Mokhoro or rondavel style. Each bedroom is fully furnished and contains a double bed [with space for extra beds, if required], bathroom en-suite and external telephone lines.

   

The main building consists of a restaurant, a conference room and a ladies bar. The Mokhoro Restaurant is spacious and attractively furnished. The menu is "A La Carte" and the restaurant is opend to the public, making it a popular destination for day tourists and Maseru residents.



In addition to the conference room in the main buidling, a new conference centre has been built. For the outdoor enthusiasts, the lodge has a fully functional braai facilites. The popular ladies bar is fully licensed and is a buzzing hive of activity and laughter.
Over weekends, the Hotel hosts tradtional dances and various live singers. These events have become extremely popular and open to all.
