Insurance Botswana (Pty) Limited (GIB) is a newly incorporated
insurance company offering an integrated range of insurance
products to the business sector of the Botswana economy. GIB
is a licensed insurance company under the Insurance Act. It is
a majority locally owned company but also enjoys participation
by a foreign investor.

GIB has a secure
capital base and the backing of a Tripple A rated Reinsurance
company namely, Munich-Re as the leading Reinsurer. Other
Reinsurance companies participating to GIB’s risks are
Hannover-Re and Africa Re-insurance Company.

GIB’s corporate
philosophy is based on two separate allied strategies
Firstly, the careful selected employment of management
personnel with first hand experience of the world’s most
competitive markets, who are well placed to fully understand
and utilise the latest information technology and at the same
time pass on the knowledge and experience to others.
Secondly, the effective use of the latest information
technology, in which the company has made substantial
investment. This, combined with the latest sophisticated and
relevant software will enable GIB to provide swift response to
any situation.
