Madirelo Training and Testing Centre is a centre for training and testing on vocational education.

This centre tests students in college and brigades together with people who acquire skills in industry for a period of more than three years.

Pertaining to training, we offer short courses like skills improvement, supplementary or top up courses. Normally the course duration for skills improvement is 6 weeks and for supplementary, it depends on areas that needs to be covered, but mostly it meant students from colleges.

Pertaining testing, we normally path it into two. We conduct trade tests and assessment tests. The following trade test certificates are awarded after somebody passed the test:

• C (P)
• C (T+P)
• B
• National Certificate being the highest qualification.

For assessment tests, we conduct first assessment up to 3rd assessment and then at the end of 4th year students sit for National Crafts examinations which could have counted for 4th assessment in other words.

We also monitor apprenticeship systems. The entry requirement is Junior Certificate and Cambridge depending on the course. This apprenticeship training has been also partitioned into two:

• Institutional training which takes 3 months and,
• Field training which takes 9 months and

the year will be complete. The student has to be tested , practical assessment during his period in field or attachment and theories are at the institute before they close.

The trade that are found in M.T.T.C. are designated and apprenticable, but most of them appears on both.
