We,
Examination Research and Testing Division exist to
assess and certify the achievement of learners,
provide selection information and feedback to all
stakeholders, conduct research intended for
improving the reliability and validity of the
assessment and for monitoring progress in
education.We are committed to the maintenance of
standards that are nationally and internationally
acceptable. |

The Division's Main Objectives |
| |

To
ensure effective assessment of all students in
primary and secondary levels;

To
provide feedback to students, schools and the
Ministry of Education on the achievement of
important skills and knowledge across different
levels;

To
ensure effective implementation, co-ordination
and maintenance of changes in the examination
systems;
-
To
certify levels of performance achieved by
students who have completed primary,junior and
senior secondary programmes;
-
To
carry out examination related research;
-
To
ensure that measurement of mental abilities and
psychometric assessment programmes meet specific
needs of recipient clients;
-
To
ensure efficient management of all resources
allocated to the Division.

division administers selection tests for a number
of government institutions such as the University
and the institutions of Health Sciences. In
addition, it also provides testing services for
some international testing instititions and
universities. |
