With
the establishment of the first privately owned dry
port in 1992, a need arose to form a sister company,
which would primarily be responsilbe for the freight
logistics for the cargo handled at the dry port.
Nata
Clearing and Forwarding was formed in 1994 and today
is a Customers Clearing, Freight Forwarding and
Transport Logistics company. Both Phikwe Dry
Port and Nata Clearing are strategic business units
of Nata (Pty) Ltd, which is the holding company.
Nata
Clearing and Forwarding's head office is situated on
the same premises as that of Phikwe Dry Port as such
the seamless interaction between the two sister
companies can be deemed a real advantage for
the smooth distribution of cargo. A branh
office was opened at the Martins Drift Border Post,
between Botswana and South Africa, which caters for
the facilitation of Customer's formalities for cargo
road transported to and from Botswana.

Africa in terms of cargo monitoring logistics, etc.
which enhances the J.I.T (Just-In-Time) concept.
